Pork Congress has been rescheduled . . .the schedule is unchanged!

Join us on Friday, June 29, 2018, for the Oklahoma Pork Congress. This is a day for all Oklahoma pork producers to gather for education, okPORK business, and lots of fun and fellowship. Pork Congress will be held at the Embassy Suites in Norman, Oklahoma. The address is 2501 Conference Dr, Norman, OK 73069.

New this year is Viva Las Bacon. We'll wrap up the day with a casino night, that will include casino play with pork bucks, a bar, Vegas style buffet, silent auction and great door prizes. Trust us - this ain't your daddy's Pork Congress event and you won't want to miss the fun.

Also of note for this year - attendance at Viva Las Bacon will require you to purchase a ticket for $25. This small fee for the evening event will help us offset the cost of the event and allow us to bring in more revenue from the fund raising portion of the evening.

Prior to the party you'll have the opportunity for two great educational sessions. At 11:15 a.m., you have the opportunity to meet Dr. Janeen Johnson. Dr. Johnson joined the Oklahoma State University Animal Science staff and has vast experience in the area of animal welfare. Join us for this session to meet Dr. Johnson and learn more about what research she'll be doing at OSU.

At 4:30 p.m., Allyson Perry from the Center for Food Integrity will facilitate a discussion with a group of consumers who will share about where they get the information that informs their food purchasing decisions. We know you'll find this discussion about consumer perception eye opening.

3:30 p.m. – okPORK Annual Business Meeting

4:30 p.m. – Consumer Perceptions of Agriculture

6:00 p.m. – Viva Las Bacon (This is a new event that will require a ticket to enter. Think about a wide selection of pork dishes, free drinks, silent auction, and an evening of fun and friendship. Tickets are $25)
