Help Us Quantify the Size of the Oklahoma Show Pig Herd!

The Oklahoma Pork Council is working to better understand the size and scope of the Oklahoma show pig herd, and we need your help! The show pig sector plays an important role in youth livestock programs, rural economies, and the future of pork production in our state. However, reliable data on the true size of this industry has historically been limited. Gathering this information will help ensure Oklahoma’s show pig producers are accurately represented and supported. By participating in this survey, you will help the Oklahoma Pork Council:

  • Strengthen national funding requests

  • Demonstrate the importance of the show pig sector

  • Advocate for resources that support Oklahoma 4-H and Oklahoma FFA

  • Identify industry trends and future needs

The first phase of the survey below collects a few basic data points to establish a statewide baseline. It takes only a few minutes to complete and will help us estimate the overall size of the show pig breeding herd in Oklahoma.

Participants who complete Phase 1 have the option to continue to a second, optional survey designed to gather more detailed information about production levels, marketing practices, and emerging industry trends. All responses will remain confidential and reported only in aggregated form. If you’re willing to share a bit more detail about your operation, we encourage you to continue to Phase 2 and help strengthen the data supporting Oklahoma’s show pig industry.
